Science & Company, together with its affiliates and subsidiaries ("Science & Co", "we", "us" and "our"), is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process the personal information we collect in the course of providing our products and services (the "Services"), including when you visit our website at https://science.co (the "Website"), when you purchase or use our products and services, and when you otherwise interact with us directly or indirectly. This Policy does not apply to personal information collected about job applicants or employees.
Health information held by the licensed healthcare providers you access through the Services may also be governed by our HIPAA Privacy Policy. Our text messaging practices are described in more detail in our SMS Privacy notice.
In this Policy, "personal information" or "personal data" means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual. The personal information we collect about you depends on your relationship with us.
Customers and prospective customers. We may collect your first name, last name, email address, username and password, telephone number, postal address, payment details, and any other information you share with us in a customer service context. Given the nature of the Services, we also collect sensitive information, including information relating to your health status, health conditions and medications, such as information relating to weight loss, hormone health and longevity treatments. This information is collected directly from you.
Business partners. We collect personal information about our business partners, typically limited to business contact information such as name, email address, telephone number and address. References to business partners include their employees, agents and authorised users.
Website visitors. From visitors to our Website we may automatically collect information about your computer or mobile device and your activity on the Website. Some of this information, such as IP address and device identifiers, may constitute personal information. This is described further under "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" below.
By submitting or otherwise providing us with personal information about another individual, you represent and warrant that you have provided all notices and obtained all permissions, consents and authorisations necessary under applicable law to disclose that individual's personal information to us, and to permit our collection, use and disclosure of that information as described in this Policy.
We, together with our third party partners and service providers such as analytics and advertising networks, use first party and third party cookies and similar technologies including tracking pixels, web beacons and software development kits (collectively, "cookies" or "tracking technologies") to collect information about your use of the Website and how you interact with emails we send. Information collected by these technologies may include IP address, geolocation data, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information about how and when you use the Website, and other technical details. We use Google Analytics, among other third parties, to collect information such as the number of visitors to the Website, the webpage that referred visitors to the Website, and the pages visitors view within the Website. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Some internet browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or "DNT" feature which sends a signal that the individual does not wish to be tracked. Our Website does not currently respond to DNT signals. We may combine or aggregate personal information, or anonymise it so that you cannot reasonably be re-identified, and may use that anonymised information for any purpose permitted by law. Where we do so, we commit not to attempt to re-identify the information.

Mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We make reasonable efforts to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the processing of personal information. We retain the personal information described in this Policy for as long as needed to satisfy the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as there is a legitimate business purpose. We determine the retention period for each category of personal information based on the length of time we need to retain the information to achieve the purpose for which it was obtained, any legal or regulatory requirements applicable to that information, internal operational needs, and the need to retain information in connection with any actual or anticipated investigation or litigation. We may retain de-identified information for an indefinite period.
We operate in the United States. By using the Services you acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in a country other than your country of residence, including the United States, where laws regarding the processing of personal information may be less stringent than those of your country of residence.
The Services are not intended for children under eighteen years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from or about children under eighteen, nor do we knowingly disclose the personal information of children under eighteen to third parties for valuable consideration or for cross-context behavioural advertising. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under eighteen, we will make reasonable efforts to delete it. If you believe we may hold information from or about a child under eighteen and would like it deleted, please contact us.
Our Website may contain links to other websites, including our pages on social media platforms. We exercise no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content. This Policy does not apply to third party websites, and we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any website you visit to understand how its operator handles personal information.
You may opt out of receiving promotional or marketing emails from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email you receive, or by contacting us using the details below. We may continue to send you non-marketing communications relating to your relationship with us.

Depending on where you live, for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, and depending on your relationship with us, you may have some or all of the privacy rights set out below in respect of the personal information we hold about you. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request as permitted by law.
Requests may be made using the contact details at the end of this Policy. Only you, or a person you authorise to act on your behalf where permitted by law, may make a request relating to your personal information. For certain requests we must verify your identity before we can fulfil them, which will require you to provide sufficient information for us to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected the personal information, or that the requester is authorised to act on your behalf. This section provides additional disclosures for residents of California, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the "CCPA"). The information we collect varies according to our relationship with you, and certain personal information or activities may not be reflected in this section because they are exempt from the CCPA.
Categories of personal information we collect. We collect the following categories of personal information about California consumers, which may be collected directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, through third parties, or from publicly available sources.
Categories sold or shared. Under the CCPA a "sale" does not necessarily involve an exchange of money, and includes disclosures of personal information to third parties who may use the information for their own purposes, such as analytics and advertising partners. "Sharing" refers to disclosing personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising. On these definitions we sell and share the following categories with third party analytics and advertising partners: identifiers, personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code section 1798.80(e), commercial information, internet or other electronic network activity information, geolocation data, inferences and sensitive personal information.

We may update this Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Where we make material changes we will take appropriate steps to notify you.
